Welcome to the website of the Mid North Coast Presbytery. We are a regional body of the Uniting Church in Australia.
As part of the Synod of NSW and ACT, we provide oversight, support and resourcing to 35 local congregations and faith communities spread along the mid-north coast of New South Wales from Forster-Tuncurry and Gloucester in the south to Woolgoolga and Dorrigo in the north, with major centres like The Manning, Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour with many others in between.
A Northern Presbytery Retreat 2026 is being organised for 17-19 September 2026 at the same venue, with the Moderator-Elect, Rev Pablo Nunez as the Retreat Leader. SAVE THE DATE!
The Northern Presbytery commences on 1 September 2026, and encompasses the current Presbyteries of Far North Coast, Mid North Coast, New England North West, Sydney Central Coast and The Hunter.

The Mid North Coast Presbytery coordinated the Annual Retreat at Stuarts Point on 25-27 September, which was lead by the NSW/ACT Moderator, Faaimata (Mata) Havea Hiliau. For the first time it was a Combined Presbyteries' Retreat, incorporating participation by people from the Presbyteries of Far North Coast, New England North West, The Hunter and Sydney Central Coast, as well as Mid North Coast.
We spend our time and energy encouraging and enabling those congregations and their members to join with God in the mission of bringing reconciliation and renewal to the whole creation.
For those planning worship services links to a wide range of worship resources are available on the Resourcing Worship webpage.
Arising from when many congregations could not worship in person, live online and recorded worship is available. The recordings are available on the following Youtube channels (click to open):
The Sunday morning worship from Port Macquarie is live-streamed on Youtube.
Presbytery, the Port Macquarie congregation, and the Synod of NSW/ACT support Rev. Tau’alofa Anga’aelangi as a Tertiary Chaplain, working with students and staff at the Port Macquarie campus of Charles Sturt University. You can find out more on Christian Students Uniting (Port Macquarie).
To encourage and inspire the sharing of the hope of the Gospel and the love of Christ across the Mid North Coast Region.
To provide space for prayer and discernment that will allow creative resources to emerge, bringing new and fresh expressions of church within our local culture and context.
To help to discover a contemporary narrative of the gospel that holds true to our past and brings hope, healing and renewal to our local communities.
The Mid North Coast Presbytery of the Uniting Church in Australia acknowledges and pays respect to the past, present and future Traditional Custodians and Elders of this nation and the continuation of cultural, spiritual and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
In particular, we acknowledge the Gumbaynggir, Dunghutti, Biripi and Worimi Nations, the Traditional Custodians of land upon which the Mid North Coast Presbytery is located.
